Tidepath

Tidepath is a marina administration concept built around spatial berth maps, arrival timelines and contextual service workspaces.

Tidepath product concept in a branded setting

Project overview

Tidepath explores marina administration through the physical layout of the harbor. Berths, reservations and arriving vessels are connected on a spatial plan, with details opening beside the selected location. A separate arrival board organizes the day by time, while a service workspace brings checklists, attachments and communication together. The portfolio scope covers four detailed interface concepts, a horizontal navigation system and marine-specific visual presentation.

The challenge

A marina team coordinates both places and people. A reservation needs a berth, an arrival needs a welcome and a service request needs a clear handoff. Lists alone can make the relationship between a vessel and its location difficult to see, while separate messages can obscure the next administrative action.

  • Berth availability needs to be understandable in the context of the pier layout.
  • Expected arrivals need to stay connected to reservations and guest details.
  • Service work benefits from a shared view of approvals, attachments and handover tasks.
  • Staff need to inspect a record while retaining the context of the harbor or work queue.

Our solution

The concept uses a map-first harbor view and contextual reservation drawers rather than a conventional metric dashboard. A horizontal navigation bar connects six core areas. Arrivals use a timeline, berth allocation uses a spatial editor and service work uses a split workspace with a queue, checklist and attachments. Each layout follows the activity it supports.

  • A harbor plan makes berth locations and administrative status visible together.
  • Contextual drawers keep reservation details beside the selected berth.
  • A timed arrival board links expected vessels to their assigned locations.
  • A split service workspace keeps administrative tasks and communication in context.
  • Six top-level destinations provide navigation without a large persistent sidebar.

Key features

  • Harbor overview

Locate administrative berth status on a spatial harbor plan.

  • Arrival coordination

Review expected arrivals by time and connect each vessel to a reservation.

  • Berth allocation

Inspect a selected berth beside its reservation and vessel details.

  • Service workspace

Keep work-order context, administrative checklists and attachments together.

  • Guest records

A proposed guest area connects visitor details with their marina stay.

  • Billing

A planned billing destination groups stay and service charges.

  • Stay dates

Review arrival and departure dates within the selected reservation.

  • Arrival documents

Show whether requested administrative documents have been received.

  • Service assignments

A proposed team view connects scheduled visits with service staff.

  • Attachment review

Keep reference photos beside the service work they relate to.

  • Guest communication

Read messages within the selected service context.

  • Spatial filters

Narrow the berth view by pier and availability status.

Technology stack

    The results

The concept establishes four distinct marina workspaces linked through six horizontal navigation destinations. Spatial plans, timelines and contextual panels replace repeated dashboard layouts. The next validation step would ask marina staff to find a reserved berth, check an expected arrival and locate an outstanding service approval.
