Solvanta

Solvanta brings solar proposal design into a visual workspace built around the records, decisions and reviews that shape the work.

Solvanta product concept in a branded setting

Project overview

Solvanta is a product design concept for solar proposal design. Proposal teams need roof-layout assumptions and client comments to remain traceable across design options. The scope connects four activities: roof concept, scenario review, client proposal, site record. Each has a dedicated screen, with a roof-layout canvas with proposal inspector and bottom scenario tabs establishing the visual direction. The work includes interface composition, proposed feature architecture and industry-specific showcase imagery.

The challenge

Proposal teams need roof-layout assumptions and client comments to remain traceable across design options. A useful workspace must preserve the connection between the original reference, the selected record and the discussion around a change. Showing more information alone would not resolve that handoff.

  • Keep roof zones and scenario tabs connected to the selected work.
  • Make scope sections visible at the point where decisions are reviewed.
  • Retain revision history and follow-up questions through the handoff.

Our solution

The design starts with a roof-layout canvas with proposal inspector and bottom scenario tabs. Compare an illustrative roof panel layout with proposal notes and selected zone details. The remaining views separate exploration, coordination and review into layouts suited to their content. A midnight, solar yellow and white palette gives the product its own visual identity, while selected-record panels keep details close to the working surface.

  • Compare an illustrative roof panel layout with proposal notes and selected zone details.
  • Inspect two layout concepts side by side with assumption notes.
  • Review an editorial proposal page with roof imagery and scope sections.
  • Gather site photographs, roof references and questions requiring follow-up.

Key features

  • Roof concept

Compare an illustrative roof panel layout with proposal notes and selected zone details.

  • Scenario review

Inspect two layout concepts side by side with assumption notes.

  • Client proposal

Review an editorial proposal page with roof imagery and scope sections.

  • Site record

Gather site photographs, roof references and questions requiring follow-up.

  • Roof zones

Keep layout notes attached to the selected roof area.

  • Scenario tabs

    Move between proposed design options.

  • Assumption notes

Record the assumptions behind each illustration.

  • Site photos

Retain photographs with their site record.

  • Scope sections

Organize the proposed work into readable sections.

  • Client comments

Keep client discussion beside the proposal.

  • Revision history

    Trace differences between proposal revisions.

  • Follow-up questions

Collect site questions that remain unanswered.

Technology stack

    The results

The design establishes four distinct solar proposal design views and a proposed set of twelve feature areas. The visual system prioritizes the working object and its context rather than repeated metric cards. A next validation would ask a practitioner to move from roof concept to site record, identify the selected record and retrieve the relevant revision history. These are design deliverables, not measured business outcomes.
